Come in! Come in!

"If you are a dreamer, come in. If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar, a Hope-er, a Pray-er, a Magic Bean buyer; if you're a pretender, come sit by my fire. For we have some flax-golden tales to spin. Come in! Come in!" -- Shel Silverstein

A Poem for Christmas

Jesus humbled himself…

He went from commanding angels … to sleeping in the straw.
From holding stars… to clutching Mary's finger.
The palm that held the universe…took the nail of a soldier.

Why?
Because that's what love does.

Elizabeth, Max Lucado is local pastor and heard frequently on local radio talk, shows. NBA great David Robinson is a member of his congregation, and that has somehow given Lucado celebrity status around here.

Lucado is very anti-gay, constantly repeating all the same old stuff from the clobber verses.

Oh, dear, Mike. I love the poem. Too bad the author doesn't understand the fullness of his own message.
